JONAH NUNOSHELDON

Jonah NunoSheldon, Technical Coach at SPNG Academy, was born and raised Park Forest, IL, which is a suburb of Chicagoland. As a youth player Jonah played the majority of his career for the Midwest Wings Soccer Club, a well-known youth developmental club in the Chicago south suburbs. He also had a short spell with Chicago Magic (now owned by F.C. United), as well as many indoor soccer leagues around Chicagoland. Jonah was a four-year varsity starter at Mount Carmel High School (Chicago, IL) before his college career at Prairie State College where he was awarded the 2016 Skyway first team All-Conference and Second team All-Region. After his two years at Prairie State he finished his collegiate career at Robert Morris University where he was the team captain and a 2018 CCAC Second Team All-Conference selection. During his college career, Jonah started his coaching career with the Midwest Wings SC, which he still does to this day. After college he spent a year as the assistant coach at his alma mater, Prairie State College, but is now the assistant coach for the Olivet Nazarene University Men's Team.

In joining the SPNG Academy staff, Jonah hopes to help the program reach a point of professionalism and help grow it to the point where serious young soccer players are consistently coming through the SPNG doors feeling challenged. He wants to help players develop, taking their game to the next level, and express their creativity.
